An AI file organizer with a preview before changes

Organize local files with a concrete plan you can review. The Files for AI desktop app combines selected-folder browsing, file operations and an AI suggestion workflow, with your approval before a proposed change is applied.

Selected folders. Reviewed changes. Optional cloud storage.

BUILT AROUND YOUR FILES

A clearer way to organize your files.

Choose the folders to work in

Grant access to selected folders and browse your local files. Manual local file management works without a cloud account or internet connection. Selecting a folder does not authorize sending its contents to an AI provider.

Review renames, moves and folder organization

Inspect the affected files and destinations before applying a plan. The operation layer checks selected-folder access and destination collisions, and stops when the files have changed since the preview.

Keep a record and undo safely

Completed operations are recorded in a local journal. Recoverable removal uses a local recovery folder. Undo checks the affected files again and refuses to overwrite later changes; some situations require manual recovery.

Link selected files to the cloud

Optionally sign in to Files for AI and explicitly link a local file to a cloud file. Compare their hashes and versions, then choose when to push or pull. A conflicting update preserves the copies for you to resolve.

HOW IT WORKS

From a crowded folder to a plan you can review.

  1. 01

Select a folder and the files to organize

Keep the scope focused on the folder you choose. Review the file details that would be shared before requesting an AI suggestion when the managed AI service is enabled.

  2. 02

    Inspect the proposed changes

Check each source and destination, including new folders and possible name collisions. A proposal is a preview; it does not execute a shell command or change files on its own.

  3. 03

    Apply the approved plan

Approve the specific operations you want to run. Review the journal afterward and use undo where it remains safe. If a file has changed, create a fresh preview instead of forcing the earlier plan.

DESKTOP AVAILABILITY

Know what’s ready before you start.

The desktop app and the cloud workspace have different jobs. Choose the one that fits your work.

  • Desktop releases and public store downloads are not available yet.

  • Managed AI requires release configuration, a signed-in account, an available allowance and consent to the selected data transmission.

  • Cloud uploads have a 5 GB per-file limit. That cloud limit does not restrict ordinary local browsing.

A FEW PRACTICAL ANSWERS

Questions, answered.

Is the desktop app available to download?

The desktop application is in development for macOS and Windows. Public app-store downloads are not available yet. Native packaging, signing and store review are separate steps from developing and testing the application.

Is managed AI available now?

Managed AI is not enabled for a public release yet. It is designed to use a product-provided free allowance with sign-in and explicit data-sharing consent. Manual local browsing and file operations remain independent of that service.

Can the organizer change files without approval?

An AI suggestion must become a concrete preview that you approve before its operations run. Execution rechecks access and file state. It does not treat instructions found inside a file as permission to change other files.

Will deleting or changing a local file automatically change the cloud copy?

No. Cloud links use explicit manual push and pull. Local removal does not delete the cloud version, and an unavailable or deleted cloud file does not automatically delete your local file.
